30 Day Dessert Challenge

I have a challenge for you! Now I understand Christmas is coming, but after the upcoming holiday season, it's time to boost your self-control and get healthier. If you really feel adventurous, start it during the week of Christmas. Your challenge: Don't eat dessert for 30 days.
Yes, it's hard. But don't worry, I wouldn't ask you to do anything I wouldn't do... In fact, I have already done my 30 day challenge, and it landed on Thanksgiving. It was extremely hard, but totally worth it! Let me tell you why...
There are a few changes you will notice during these 30 days. First, you will start to recognize the boost of energy you feel throughout the day. Sugar makes your body feel tired and lazy. So, getting rid of desserts for a month may cause you to be more productive and actually want to stay active.
Another change you will notice is in your skin, especially those who have acne on a fairly regular basis. Sugar is a leading factor in breakouts, and taking that away gives your skin a chance to recover without extra factors influencing it.
Also, I know for me, desserts could be eaten whenever I was simply hungry. By eradicating that habit, I was able to focus more on eating vegetables and fruits, which are a positive factor in making you feel and look good.
Recognize that after you get done, the challege doesn't come to a halt. Use the self-control that you discovered during the challenge to cut back on your dessert intake and move forward to looking healthy and feeling great.
