Give a plain meal some flavor! This cheesy, spicy mixture is one of my favorite sauces and can be added to so many types of meals. Whether you’re making noodles, rice, couscous, chicken, beef, shrimp and more, it is sure to be a crowd pleaser. It is also extremely easy and quick, and what’s better than that?
1 stick butter
1 cup heavy cream
1 8 oz. package cream cheese
1 cup parmesan cheese
Optional Spice … sprinkle Tone’s six pepper seasoning blend (or any spicy seasoning)
*No cream cheese? Substitute milk and more heavy cream.
Heat a sauce pan on the stove on about a medium to medium/high level.
Add butter and melt until fully liquidized.
Next mix in heavy cream and cream cheese. Boil and stir occasionally for about 3 min.
Add in parmesan cheese (as much or little as you want) and stir until melted and blended.
Sprinkle the spices (or whatever seasoning you prefer) and continue boiling the sauce until it thickens to your liking.
Let it cool and add it to your meal for flavor. Enjoy!
